Iomega Prestige and Professional External Desktop Drives

These are the first two series of the iomega external desktop drives, that we are going to review. They both have the same design and silver color. Their capacities go up to 2TB of space for your files. First we are going to take a look at the Iomega Prestige External Desktop Drives and after that the Iomega Professional External Desktop Drives.

Prestige External Desktop Drives

The Iomega Prestige Desktop drives use USB 2.0 connectivity, and are made with the thought to be simple and affortable choise for you. They have aluminium casing and come with a stand.

The available capacities range between 500GB and 2TB. For power they use an Energy Star adapter (to save energy and save the environment).

Professional External Desktop Drives

And here we have the Professional version. They look the same, but they are not. Instead of using USB 2.0, hey use eSATA interface. This interface is 6 times faster than USB 2.0 ot Firewire 400.

The adapter is the same, the stand is the same. The capacities are different – only 1TB and 2TB available.
