Iomega eGo Desktop External Drives

Here we have two series – the Iomega eGo Jet Black and the Iomega eGo Midnight Blue. I can not really see the difference with the Prestige Desktop drives except the price and the design. So let’s take a look at the Iomega eGo Jet Black drive.

Iomega eGo Jet Black Drive

So the connectivity is USB 2.0, not a suprise here. We have a stylish black design and a stand. The power adaptor is energy star qualified. There is Iomega Protection Suite software included, which is the only dofference with the Prestige series (except the design and price).

The capacities are 1TB and 2TB. No smaller capacity available.

Iomega eGo Midnight Blue Drive

And the Midnight Blue external drives. They actually are exactly the same except for the color.

I actually saw a difference in the design. Notice that the holes in the picture are going all the way up and down. It could be just that this is a 2TB model, and the other to be a 1TB, and the 2TB to be taller. But this is just my theory.
